Data privacy Statement relating to the New General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

What is this statement for and what action do I need to take?
This statement is needed because of new data protection requirements arising from the European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), which comes into effect on 25 May 2018.
A-ONE IT may hold or collect information from you or already holds about you. For the purposes of data protection legislation, including the GDPR; A-ONE IT is the "data controller" with regards to the personal data it collects about you.

Personal data may include the following:

Personal data including name, contact details - home address, telephone numbers and e-mail address. Technical Data such as, Windows Licenses, Office Licenses, Panda Licenses, Complete forms from our website.
When using our website, personal data may be automatically collected when you browse our web pages, including, your browser, your operating system, your IP address, your device-specific information, server logs, location information and web pages visited.

A-ONE IT is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and rights. 

A-ONE IT collected information about you

A-ONE IT will only process your personal data, for the purpose to liaise and contact you.
A-ONE IT must have a legal basis on which your personal data is processed in accordance with data protection legislation. ln most cases, the legal basis for processing your personal data will be the "legitimate interests" ground (although there may be other grounds too for processing personal data).
This means it is in the "legitimate interest" only of A-ONE IT , no other third party, will process your personal data. Where A-ONE IT is required to process Sensitive Personal Data, as in Data Recovery, it will approach the relevant customer for specific consent to the processing of such data.
This means that personal data (excluding data recovery), may be retained by the A-ONE IT for extremely long periods of time, including long after using our company services by an individual.
Retention of personal data for Data Recovery purposes.
The A-ONE IT will hold personal data of its customers for as long as may be necessary in order to fulfil the purpose of processing data described above (particularly Data Recovery and Data Transfer to a new system). Data Recovery and data transfer information will duly be securely deleted after use.

Disclosure of personal data

The A-ONE IT will not disclose your personal information to other third parties.
A-ONE IT has strict security procedures regarding the storage and disclosure of personal Data.
The A-ONE IT will notify you if the position changes.

Your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation

You have certain rights under the GDPR which may be relevant to the A-ONE IT.
a) to request details or copies of the personal data the A-ONE IT holds about you as data
controller (by making an access request to the A-ONE IT ).
b) to have your personal data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
c) to have your personal data deleted or removed if there is no reason for its continued
storage and processing. (The “right to be forgotten”).
d) to object to your personal data being processed and to restrict the processing of your
personal data in certain circumstances.
e) to request the transfer of your personal data to another party (such as another IT Support company)

Changes to this Statement

The A-ONE IT reserves the right to change this Statement and any other relevant policies or
procedures at any time without notice to you.
Any changes the A-ONE IT makes to this Statement will, unless otherwise indicated, apply to
any personal data already obtained by the A-ONE IT before the changes were made.
